Why Get Baptized?

Pastor Ken preached on baptisim this morning and I wanted to share with you! The first command after being reborn and saved is to get baptized. If we can not follow Gods first command how can we follow the 2nd,3rd,4th etc? Shower yourself in baptism to wash all of you so that you might be clean!

Reasons why to get baptized
1. Jesus did!

2. Commanded by God to be baptized

3. Mark 16:16 whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

4. Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized

5. Our way of witnessing our commitment to the world

6. Gal 3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have been clothed

7. Acts 22:15-16You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? get up, be baptized and wash away your sins calling on his name.

8. Symbolism of baptism

9. Baptism in Greek means to dip, put under. All the way under!

10.Romans 6:2-4 By no means! We died to sin how can we live in it any longer? Or
don't you know that all of us who were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him thorough baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead through the glory of the Father we too may live a new life.

11.Colossians 2:9-12For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity (<~~The Lord)lives
in bodily (<~~Us)form and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head
over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised in the putting
off of the sinful nature not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but
with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and
raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

Baptism is NOT a option it is a COMMAND form the Lord!

Final night

Last night was the final night of revival. We had a wonderful time at a fellowship dinner and then was able to participate in signing praises to the Lord with some soul moving tunes!I am glad to get back to normal around the house but have to be honest and admit I am sad to see it go. I really do enjoy being in Church daily! Just because it was the last night though Pastor Mike didn't slack on his preaching! I have three and a half pages of notes here to share with you today. So are you ready?

We learned about knowing the Lord by name last night. Do you know his name? I did but as with other things did not give deep thought into it. Now though I know how to and can apply it to my life! I hope after reading this you too will be able to do the same.

Pastor Mike started us off last night in 1 Cor 1:9 It is Gods will for our life to know Jesus Christ and have a fellowship with him.

Philip 3:10 To many times we see God as a divine Santa clause wanting things from him rather then just wanting him. Believe me I still want those blessings he promised me but if I am wanting the blessings more then the relationship with the Lord then there is a serious issue and we wont see the blessings and I feel we will become miserable!
We should not waste out energy on boasting and bragging about things that just consume us.. Brag and boast that God understands and knows you personally! Boast and brag that no matter where or what time God hears your prayers!

As you get to know the names of God you will be able to grow closer to him. In growing closer to the Lord I personally feel we will see our stress levels drop because we will no longer have time for those things that consume us. Things that don't really matter anyhow!

Ex 3:14 Moses thought he was a no body! To God though he was a somebody. We are all a somebody to God! God has a job for each and everyone of us as he did for Moses and well excuses wont work with God. Sorry folks no calling in sick here!

Now are you ready for Gods name? I AM... Yes I know some of you already knew this but tell me what does it mean??? I AM??? You AM what??? He is the GREAT I AM__________
For instance you are depressed God is the I AM HEALER
You are sad God is the I AM Comforter
You are Happy God is the I AM supplier of happiness
You feel empty God is the I AM your filler

So I AM means what? HE IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! ANYTHING YOU NEED HE IS!!!!!!! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!! God is anything and everything we need. Just call on him and he will be your I AM.
Because he is the I AM every generation is to know him by name.
He is
The God of your father
1. God of Abraham
2. God of Issac
3. God of Jacob
(Don't forget the above 3 we will be revisiting them)

Gen 12:1 tells us God is a dream maker and will make our dreams come true. ONLY he can make our lives more then we could ever hope for!

Ok back to the above 3 men.
1. Abraham proves and shows God is the dream giver!

2. Issac proves and shows God is a promise Keeper! That NOTHING is impossible with God and God keeps his promises when he wants NOT when we want!

3. Jacob proves and shows God changes lives. Even the most stubborn!

Each one of us can relate to at least one of the men listed above! Who are you? I have to say when I was going through infertility I was 100% Issac and Sara! I wanted a child so bad I wavered on many avenues cause I didn't want to wait or i thought maybe i was supposed to go in other directions. But one thing I know for sure God never took it from my heart and I KNEW I was to be a mother. Now in my life I feel I can relate with Abraham. I have dreams and I know in Gods time he will fill my dreams or show me my dreams need to be different. But in his time not mine!

No matter what Gods ultimate desire is for us to know him!
No one can cry out to Jesus for you! ONLY YOU can cry out to Jesus for you! If you call his name he WILL answer. He is there waiting to be your I AM___________

Gods love and blessings to you all

Forgivness

Okay I think I may be ready for this preacher from our revival to go back to Florida! Well not really but man he has sure been stepping on my toes! Guess that's what revival is about huh? Last night he preached on forgiveness. He made the point to say we all have someone in our lives that when we think of or hear their names we cringe and grit our teeth. Do you have one or more of those people? I currently have 2 UGGG!!!! He said we should not be like Johna in Johna 3:10 and bull up and refuse to forgive and take Gods job from him and think we should hold anger and be the judge. Its Gods place to judge not ours. Pastor Mike went on to say we need to get Gods heart in us! Gods heart is a forgiving spirit. Where if we live in our heart we will be living like Johna. When we are saved we are asking God to come into our hearts and allow it to become his. So in a sense when we hold a grudge we are turning from God and being in our heart not his.

Still with me?

Okay then lets move on. Are you ready to know how to forgive that person who has hurt you? Ya I have to re eat these words so I can bring them to you! That's okay though cause I know someone out there needs this as bad as I do! Pastor Mike at one time had to deal with this his self with a person who repeatedly hurt him on purpose. So he started going through the bible to find answers on forgiveness and found there is actually 5 steps to forgiving. And here we go:

1. We need to separate or release. Forgiving when someone hurts you we have to remember that the person is separate from the deed. We need to be angry at the deed the person has committed and not the person.

2. Send Away-We need to push the thoughts away and don't dwell on the offense. We must refuse to focus on the offense.

3. Be gracious toward the person- Learn how to be gracious to the person. PRAY FOR THEM. Ask god to forgive them and change them. When you pray for someone you will see your own heart change.

4. cover over- over time the offense will be covered over with the grace of shed blood of Jesus! Let god be the judge and you be you!

Its time to forgive who ever it is you are angry with. once you forgive you will feel a release.

He told us if we start taking these steps we will see that we will fall in the step following. WE are the ones who suffer when we hold a grudge!
I know this post is long but I have just a little more to add if you will please stay with me. Sometimes we feel there is no way to repair a relationship. Pastor Mike gave an example of a lady he worked with who had a falling out with her neighbor. She said the relationship was beyond repair. He told her to go over with a plate of cookies and tell the woman she was thinking about her. She said that would never work the lady would throw the cookies at her. He said okay pick up the phone and call a friend and tell the friend you are on the way over. Get in your car with the plate of cookies pull out of your drive way and into your neighbors. Leave your car running. When your neighbor comes to the door hand her the cookies and tell her you were thinking about her and continue with you are on your way out and just wanted to give her the cookies. Before the neighbor has time to respond leave. He said he got a letter later with the woman telling him she did what he told her to do. She went to the friends house she called and they prayed about the situation. She went home and soon heard a knock at the door. It was her neighbor. She went to the door and there stood the neighbor with the cookies AND a pot of coffee. the neighbor said cookies go much better with coffee and asked if they could sit down and talk. They worked things out over a plate of cookies!

Tell me are you thinking about making a plate of cookies right now? I did last night and I feel it again today! I need to make a plate of cookies.

Please pray for my relationships to heal with my Sister in law Gayla and my step son Andrew. If you leave a message here I will be sure to pray for you and the person your suffering over now.

Now I need to go say yes to something else and no to this computer. If you don't understand what I am talking about search yesterdays post titled "yes is a no and no is a yes".

Gods blessings to each of you!

Yes is a No and No is a Yes

Anyone see this? This week my Church is in Revival! This preacher is really touching me with the word God has given him to bring and I wanted to share last night with you. I know we have all heard yes means no and no means yes but has anyone given a deep thought to that? I know I never had until it was explained to me. When we say yes to something we are saying no to something else. As well when we say no to something we are saying yes to something else. For example I was so tired last night but I went to Church. I said yes to Church and no to staying home and sleeping. Which brings me to my next subject. We were made to be a influence to others. When we are saying yes or no to something people are watching. By saying yes to Church last night I was a influence to my Children that God and his Church are very important! Our ability to influence others depends on the choices (yes or no) we make. In Matthew 3:13-14 God says we are Blessed. Gods plan for our (my,your) life is bigger then we could ever imagine! Why are we not saying no to the world more and yes to God more so we can be BLESSED!!!! I want to be Blessed don't you? What are you saying yes and no too? I know I am not perfect and I never thought about saying yes to one thing was leading me to say no to another. But I find as I wake up this morning I am giving more thought to my yes and no's. If we ignore the power we have to influence other people we are in all honesty ignoring Gods plan for our life. We are put here on this earth to serve the Lord. Not for him to serve us. The sweet thing about this is if we serve him and bring people to him we will be BLESSED!!! You are Gods child. When our children do right we reward them. When they don't we punish them. We have a choice God can reward us for our good behavior or we can go without being Blessed! God is going to DAILY put people into our lives that we can influence. Whats your choice? Check Yes or no!

Im a Princess

Denise from the SCALHints group created the most adorable princess crown! You can find the file on her blog Denise's Scrapbooking Room. I thought for sure Reagan would have this tore apart in no time. Of course she proves me wrong (fine by me haha) She wore if for the longest time and then took it off and gave it to me to put up so she could wear later. THANK YOU Denise for helping Reagan be the princess she always knew she was.

Its mushroom time

Nicholas has discovered the love of mushroom hunting! He has found a spot he considers a gold mine lol. We told him to be sure not to tell anyone! This is his largest mushroom and he thought it picture worthy!

I was going to edit all the dirt and so forth off of him, but ya know what? You don't exactly look pretty after crawling on the ground mushroom hunting now do you?

Reagannn Reagannnnnnn

Some of you know my daughters first bad dream consisted of the bath tub calling her name. Well i got her to repeat her little dream (BIG dream to her) on video. I took a picture of her sleeping and used a bath tub SVG that was sent to me from Nance in the SCALHints yahoo group. Thanks again Nance! Her Movie CD is hidden behind her picture. Hope you all get a laugh out of this!

My Grandpa

This is my Grandpa I have asked prayers for. He is almost 86 and has been sick and in the hospital since last week. I was able to go over today with my sons and visit him for a while at the hospital. The more people that came in the higher his spirits got and his eyes lit up and he was his self. Please keep praying for him He has surgery on his back Thursday. I of course will be there then! We are also planning on spending Easter evening with him.

lets pick some flowers!

Today it got up to 71 outside! We stayed out there for 5 hours!!! Reagan got to picking flowers and decided it would be a good idea to get Ginger to smell them.

There is a little story behind Ginger and Reagan's relationship. Ginger actually bit Reagan 2 times in the past. I took her, ok dragged her into the dog pound cause NO dog is going to bite my kids. Well all was ok I was signing the papers and I of course had to ask the question what will you do with her? He told me he would put her down. Ya ok I also can NOT put a dog to sleep that's in good health! She pranced her way back out to my car! We had a talk in the parking lot! She turns her head away from Reagan like nope not gonna happen! I really think this dog knows! And Reagan just loves her to pieces! ;)

Week 9 Breaking free

This week deals with a steadfast mind and freedoms from strongholds. Day two this week is where I got pulled in. It talks about tearing down high places. When I thought of the high places I thought about the buildings where they used to worship idols. In part that's true but according to Beth Moores breaking free study there is more to it! Our strong holds she says affect our behaviors. These are things that are obvious to us correct? Did you though realize these strongholds are also idols? and by behavior I don't just mean our moods and how we act but how we worship and bond with the Lord! Anything that keeps our mind off the Lord and on "it" is a stronghold/idol. She states if we don't cast these things down they will sooner or later cast us down. We can tear down our strongholds with the mighty power of God, or they will eventually tear us down. Here is one of her personal stories. She says "I'll never forget realizing that a person I felt I couldn't forgive had become an idol to me through my unforgiveness."

WOW give that some serious though! Remember me telling you all about my sister in law? Well it seems just as I am no longer lingering on the situation something happens to bring it all back in my face again. I still have not heard from her. But her 2 daughters have contacted me on the SAME day. One wanting advice about a laptop and the other inviting us for Easter. My youngest niece is going to prom and asked me to do her pictures. I am a Photographer for those of you who don't know. I told her I couldn't cause her uncle was working. All of a sudden they are being super nice! So it kind of irritates me cause I know why they are doing this. I am telling you this because I have let this situation become a IDOL!!!!!!!! I have dwelled on the situation so much I have let it keep me from Gods word and his promise to take care of and bring down my enemies! And yes folks family can be a enemy and use us just as mush as outsiders!

Beth states about her own story "Satan seized my imaginations until the whole situation stole my focus and therefore became idolatrious to me"

HA on Satan he picked the wrong week to bring this situation back to me! I see through it clearly!

So this week we are to
1 Recognize those things keeping us captive
2. Stand in agreement with God 1John 1:9 "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
3. Tear down the Lies Once we recognize the strong holds, agree with god and confess we can then begin to see the lies.
4. Put up the truth "Our Captive has escaped the prison of controlling thoughts and is very close to controlling them instead. TRUTH is the only way out!

Some strongholds she mentions that i would of never viewed as strongholds until given thought to are loving your children too much, becoming obsessed with them, adoration and idolatry then the mother has constructed a stronghold.

another is morning a death too long. It will put a wedge between us and God if we are consumed with the loss and bitterness that has eclipsed comfort and healing.

Do you have strong holds that you didn't realize were? Man i do ;o(

Sometimes you just have to laugh!

Even when something should not be funny. My baby girl is two and a half. She had her first nightmare last night! I went in to get her up this morning and she tells me mama the bath tub was calling me. Saying Reagannnnnn Reagannnnnnnnn it scared me! I wish so bad you all could her her saying this. Just thinking about it makes me want to crack up laughing! On and off all day today she has told me this and then had to tell her maw maw this evening! It honest to goodness scared her LOL! While she was telling my mom I was dying laughing in the background! my mom wished some not so nice dreams on me tonight! I have yet to figure out how I am going to get her in the tub this evening! When her brother went to take his bath she heard the water going and took off running and retold me the story. Shes so cute and I love her so much. I wish i could bottle this time! With my twins life was a blur. it was non stop go and i didn't get to enjoy the time like I have with Reagan. As well she is my last baby so i am going to cherish and laugh at all these things! Any ideas on how to preserve this memory for her? I would love for her to know what her first nightmare was! Odd cause playing in the bath tub is one of her favorite things to do! Anyhow PLEASE give me some ideas! Hugs to you all! Hope your finding many blessings this weekend!

Disney on Ice

Yesterday was a memory that will last a long time. And once I scrapbook it hopefully a life time! My dad got these tickets for me and the kids along with free parking(you'll understand why I tell you about the parking here in a second lol) The kids were amazed! I really didn't think the boys would care too much but they loved it! Reagan was standing up when Mickey Mouse came out and oh my that baby started jumping up and down and screaming mick mose (how she said it) it made my heart jump with joy! With my Bipolar its really hard for me to drive long distances and not have panic attacks and esp down town St. Louis UGG then to find out they had a huge parade yesterday for St. Patrick day! There was around 3000 people down there! So ya it was not pretty there for a little bit! But it was all so worth it! Well the show was over and I am all excited about my pictures thinking about scrapbooking them and driving down the highway and realize the parking ticket is on the window and getting ready to blow off! So I roll down the window, take off my belt and lean out the window to grab that ticket! Nick says oh Lord I'm gonna die today! Now tell me do I get true scrapbooker of the year award???? HAHAHA Its been a blessed weekend!!!!!

Happy Saturday

There wont be anything from me this weekend. Today i told my boys they were going to help me deep clean the house and this afternoon we are leaving to head to downtown St. Louis to see Disney on ice. The only way i could get Reagan in bed last night was asking her if she wanted to go see Mickey mouse when she woke up? Now how to pass all these hours before she can actually SEE him haha. This tomorrow we will be in Church. Monday I am not so sure about. My mom is talking about coming over so we can go for a walk. Here I go being too open with you all! I am up to 197lbs and my mom does not directly say anything but tells me about different food that are healthy and offers to go on walks with me. This is different then when I was a kid so I am thankful how she is trying to help. How about you all? Any of you struggling with a weight problem? Or have struggled and have some advice? I would love to hear it! And i would love to help support you if you too are going down this road! Until later you all have a very BLESSED and safe weekend!

Do you ever just feel BLAH!!!!????!!!!!

Here lately I don't know what my issue is. I am sleeping 13-14 hours a day! I am not depressed. I am honestly bi polar. I have cut my meds back to see if that's it to find no change. Usually I would get into a manic state and that's not even happening. Which honestly would be kind of nice right now! I know not good playing with medications but 13-14 hours a day! I asked my husband if I am snoring a lot at night maybe sleep apenia? Maybe weight? Maybe not smoking for almost a month? Maybe Maybe Maybe??? I keep meaning to call the doctor but find myself back in bed and before I know it its too late. Anyhow I just wanted to let you all know why your not see any files. I really need to find out whats going on with my health but will also try to so get out some files to you! Easter is almost here and we need some things don't we? So hopefully in the next couple days I can get something up for you all! Until then please keep me in your prayers to find some strength and energy! Gods blessings and unfailing love to each of you!

Week 6 breaking Free

Last week in week 5 on day 3 it about killed me. There are tear stains in my book! This week in week 6 day 3 had me walking on clouds! I have felt so good this week from this weeks study! Listen to this my friends!

Song of Songs 10 My lover spoke and said to me, "Arise. My darling, My beautiful one, and come with Me. 11 See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. 14 Show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face lovely. 4:1 How beautiful you are my darling! Oh, How beautiful!5 Your two breast are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browses among the lilies. 7 There is no flaw in you. 8 Come with me from Lebanon my bride, from the lions' dens.

How amazingly beautiful is that? How often do we long to hear how beautiful we are? How often after child rearing and age do we look at our bodies and think wow everything has gone south. Well reread that passage. God made us BEAUTIFUL! For us to be down on how we look we are down on how Christ made us and his love for his brides! We ladies are his bride. Beth more hit it this week I tell ya! She states "She has made herself ready." God's Word doesn't imply that we are to make ourselves ready for the wedding but for the Groom. Remember, making ourselves ready means studying and knowing our Groom! Ladies Jesus is our Groom! We prepare ourselves for our earthly groom so why do we sometimes lack to prepare ourselves for our heavenly Groom? Get into his word and be surprised at how good it will make you feel! Need to feel like a lovely woman? Read the Song of Songs. WOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I felt amazing! I felt beautiful! I felt like I was glowing! I pray I continue to remember how well Jesus heals the brokenhearted!

I have a few prayer request as well.

My little girl Reagan is 2. She has had a horrible cough and a super bad runny nose. We have been doing breathing treatments and so forth. Last night she spiked a fever of 104.8. I was up every 4 hours with her through the night just to keep the fever below 102. This morning she says her right ear hurts when i ask her what hurts. She is going to the doctor at 4:45 today. Must be a lot of sick babies out there!

As well my husband has a ear infection and we are praying his doctor will just call in a antibiotic.

Alexander does his first therapy session today to strengthen his leg from having to wear a brace for it.

Please pray for strength for me and that I will have compassion cause its running thin.

Week 5 Breaking Free

Week 5 of breaking free. This honestly has been the hardest thing I have gone through! Day 3 about killed me! Or so I thought it was going to. I never imagined a bible study bringing me to tears so bad I would go through half a roll of toilet paper and both my boys hugging me at once begging me to tell them what is wrong. Some things we just can not share with our kids but God led me to open up to my husband about some areas of my life. Thank the good Lord he didn't reject me (is the only way I can think to put it). We have been married 16 years. I think he was a little confused as to why I had not told him sooner and why I had not been honest about some other things. But had I been honest about other things this ugly truth would of came out. Some things in life we bury soooo deep and we cover it up so much with lies it opens a whole bucket of worms when we come to the point we need to let it out! I knew these things were hindering me and holding me back. I NEVER confessed to anyone but the Lord. I am 36 years old and had told NO ONE! It felt so good though to let another human know I was violated when I was a child SEVERAL times by different people. I was 7 years old the first time. To not have to keep it to myself anymore, to be able to say hey yes this happened to me and now I can move on. I will never forget some areas of my life but I refuse to let them hold me back any farther and I refuse to let my offenders keep me down! Satan can now move on from this aspect of my life he no longer has control! And now here I openly tell all of you. I am not telling you these things on this blog to get sympathy or pats on the back for growing. I am telling you these things in case you too need to be set free! If this has happened to you and you have not told. TELL even if you are 36 years old TELL! You were the victim not the guilty person. It is not something to be ashamed about YOU did nothing wrong! I was a child and so wasn't you! Start with the closest person to you God! Then go to the closest human to you! You will be surprised by the support! As well if you want someone who does not "know" you at all I am here to talk just e-mail me!

And now for your file. How about a little lamb?

A card for my sister in law

I want to have you all apart of my life. My sister in law was my best friend and we had a falling out back in October. After a testimony I heard last night at church I realized it was time to try and mend this relationship. I beg of you all if there is hard feelings with someone in your life ask yourself if you helped fester those feelings and if you truly in your heart miss that certain someone. if so remember life is short. Please reach out to them before you cant! Here is her card.
