Week 5 Breaking Free

Week 5 of breaking free. This honestly has been the hardest thing I have gone through! Day 3 about killed me! Or so I thought it was going to. I never imagined a bible study bringing me to tears so bad I would go through half a roll of toilet paper and both my boys hugging me at once begging me to tell them what is wrong. Some things we just can not share with our kids but God led me to open up to my husband about some areas of my life. Thank the good Lord he didn't reject me (is the only way I can think to put it). We have been married 16 years. I think he was a little confused as to why I had not told him sooner and why I had not been honest about some other things. But had I been honest about other things this ugly truth would of came out. Some things in life we bury soooo deep and we cover it up so much with lies it opens a whole bucket of worms when we come to the point we need to let it out! I knew these things were hindering me and holding me back. I NEVER confessed to anyone but the Lord. I am 36 years old and had told NO ONE! It felt so good though to let another human know I was violated when I was a child SEVERAL times by different people. I was 7 years old the first time. To not have to keep it to myself anymore, to be able to say hey yes this happened to me and now I can move on. I will never forget some areas of my life but I refuse to let them hold me back any farther and I refuse to let my offenders keep me down! Satan can now move on from this aspect of my life he no longer has control! And now here I openly tell all of you. I am not telling you these things on this blog to get sympathy or pats on the back for growing. I am telling you these things in case you too need to be set free! If this has happened to you and you have not told. TELL even if you are 36 years old TELL! You were the victim not the guilty person. It is not something to be ashamed about YOU did nothing wrong! I was a child and so wasn't you! Start with the closest person to you God! Then go to the closest human to you! You will be surprised by the support! As well if you want someone who does not "know" you at all I am here to talk just e-mail me!
Connie
And now for your file. How about a little lamb?

Bravo Connie...I can image how hard it must have been all these years to keep this "secret" buried. I also can image it was even harder to let the world know! So I am giving you a pat on the back because you deserve it! I do hope you inspire someone somewhere to set themselves free too! This file is perfect and I will never look at a sheep without hearing your words in my head! Oh and I love the shoes!

Connie, my heart goes out to you. Have you ever heard the teachings of Joyce Meyer? She is an awesome minister who had gone through the same situation. She has a great book "Beauty for Ashes" and can be found on TV everyday on ABC Family and other stations. Check out her website: www.joycemeyer.org. Will keep you in my prayers for healing.

Oh Connie what a freeing you have just discovered! God is so amazing with His love and nothing that you tell Him will shock Him. What study where you doing if I can ask? I may need to do this study to make myself accountable for things that I have not delt with. They are not what you are dealing with but other things. I will be praying for you and your family as you go throught this time of transition. Remember that now you can live the life that God had intended for you and what a great blessing you are to your family.
